Arrowood Golf Course – Review

January 30, 2009

Located in the city of Oceanside in northern San Diego county, this relative newcomer to the area has garnered plenty of attention-and rightfully so. This course is truly a gem. We loved it’s varied terrain and overall scenery that changes on every hole. While it’s in a residential area, it’s also adjacent to a protected habitat meaning houses are limited (in most cases) to only one side of the fairway. Furthermore, these houses do not intrude onto the course itself. There’s nothing more we dislike more than houses on a golf course.

Facebook Support Staff – Yawn

January 20, 2009

Trying to get some help from the customer service staff at Facebook? Good luck. What I found when I had a pretty simple question, was a “form” email with a “thanks for playing” attitude.

Balboa Park Golf Course – Review

January 10, 2009

For those traveling to San Diego, this is the closest course to the airport and downtown. It’s located on the eastern edge of famous Balboa Park. The course and clubhouse were both built in 1915, but the course has had some redesign to keep pace with today’s technology.

Where are my Twitter @Replies? – Getting Twitter Replies via Text (SMS)

January 10, 2009

Twitter is an excellent service and I use it a lot. The problem is, when I’m away from my computer I can’t get any replies. They just sit there until I return. I’ve tried several outlets to send @replies to my phone but so far either things work and the outlet ends up getting shut down, or I get unreliable replies. So what’s the answer?

San Diego State Aztecs and Recruiting

January 2, 2009

I graduated from SDSU and have attended a lot of football games. It’s sad that a great university like San Diego State can’t seem to recruit some of the quality athletes that are already in San Deigo and so year after year, the best of what San Diego has to offer, head to other universities. Hopefully with a new head coach, that will change.
